Sandplay Therapy is a creative form of expressive therapy that uses a sandbox and a large collection of miniatures to enable a person to explore the deeper layers of the psyche. By constructing a series of “sand pictures”, a person is helped to engage in the process of self discovery, identify conflicts and find solutions, so a sense of resolution or healing can occur.
EMDR is a psychotherapy treatment developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro to help people heal from trauma. EMDR therapy integrates elements of many traditional psychological orientations and is based on the adaptive information processing model (AIP).
Neurofeedback (NFB), also called neurotherapy or neurobiofeedback, is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time displays of brain activity—most commonly EEG, to teach self-regulation of brain function. Typically, sensors are placed on the scalp to measure activity, with measurements displayed using video displays or sound.
