Social Skills Group Therapy
We provide social skills to children and adolescents ages 7-21 (super seniors) in a group setting. We work with children who may have Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and other social skills deficits. Children are grouped according to age and skill needs. Parents will be asked to complete a “Skills Menu” form to identify their child’s specific needs so we can develop the lesson plans based on the needs of the kids in the group.
The groups are open-ended and on-going which allows new members to join at any time!
All groups will run for one hour, once per week. At the end of each group, parents are invited to join the group to learn about the skill lesson of the week. This allows parents to reinforce the skills at home. Learning appropriate social skills is an on-going process. It is very successful with daily reinforcement and review and practice of the skills.
